Freedom Fighter

Configure a multi-leg Range Re-Center strategy and understand its boundaries.

The reference range#

Freedom Fighter uses a reference anchor with an upper and lower boundary measured in points.

Upper limit equals anchor plus Upper Boundary. Lower limit equals anchor minus Lower Boundary. A reference price at or beyond either limit counts as a boundary breach.

Example#

For an illustrative anchor of 20,000, an Upper Boundary of 100 and a Lower Boundary of 80 create limits of 20,100 and 19,920. These values explain the arithmetic; they are not suggested trading parameters.

Settings#

Field Purpose
Upper Boundary Positive distance above the reference anchor
Lower Boundary Positive distance below the reference anchor
Run Type Continuous Re-Center or Single Session
Minimum Re-Center Interval (seconds) Timing control for eligible re-centering
Reference Price Source Price source used by the range logic
Basket risk controls Limits for the multi-leg position

Run types#

Single Session handles a boundary event as a session-ending exit rather than continuing repeated re-centering.

Continuous Re-Center allows the range workflow to continue through eligible re-center events. Other exit conditions and runtime checks can take precedence.

A range boundary is not the same as a basket stop loss. Both can affect a session, and an exit is still subject to actual execution.

Auto Rollover#

Auto Rollover moves an open Freedom Fighter position into a later expiry before the current one expires. It is off by default.

Field Purpose
Auto Rollover Turns rollover on or off
Rollover Offset (Days Before Expiry) How many trading days before expiry to roll. 0 means on expiry day
Rollover Execution Time The time of day the rollover runs; 14:30 by default
Rollover Expiry The expiry to roll into: current or next week, or current or next month. MCX offers only monthly expiries

At the rollover time on the rollover day, SSAlgo closes the open legs and re-enters them in the selected expiry. If a mandatory expiry square-off falls on the same day, the rollover takes priority. Rollover is automatic; there is no manual "roll now" action.

A rollover places real exit and entry orders in Live mode. Check every leg in the monitor afterwards, as with any re-entry.

Watch every leg#

Open the monitor to review the anchor, boundaries, cycle state, and individual legs. A multi-leg strategy can have incomplete execution on one leg; an aggregate status alone is insufficient to establish that every leg is closed.

Running edits#

Name, strategy type, execution mode, exchange, instrument, and reference source are locked while running in the current form. For other changes, read the confirmation and inspect the updated monitor. See running edits.
