The trading window#
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Entry Start Time | Beginning of the permitted entry window |
| Trading End Time | Stops new entries |
| Mandatory Square-Off Time | Closing time for eligible intraday derivative positions |
| Execution Mode | Paper or Live, subject to strategy capabilities |
Use the market time convention shown in the app. Do not interpret a market schedule as the timezone of whichever device you happen to use. If the timezone is not clear in your environment, confirm it with support before relying on a cutoff.
Entry cutoff is not square-off#
Trading End Time stops new entries. It is not a universal “close every position” switch. Review the separate square-off field and the strategy's intraday or positional configuration.
In the shared indicator form, an unset derivative square-off time is displayed using Trading End Time as its fallback.
Trade controls#
Maximum-trade and waiting-period controls can delay or prevent further entries. A running strategy can therefore be waiting without being broken.
If nothing happens, check these controls along with the signal and entry window.
Auto rollover#
The shared builder exposes rollover configuration for options. Saving rollover settings does not start the algorithm or place an order.
Review the offset in days before expiry, execution time, and target expiry. Do not assume that an option rollover configuration is supported for futures.
Paper-only availability#
Some strategy types can be restricted to Paper. If the mode selector is locked to Paper, use the available mode and consult feature availability. A connected broker does not override that restriction.
