Set the unit first#
The shared indicator builder offers Rupees (₹) and Points for Target and Stop Loss. The same number means different things in these units.
For illustration, a ten-point price movement across fifty units has a gross value of ₹500 before charges. That arithmetic does not describe the configured trigger basis for every strategy.
Read the execution instrument and control's scope before applying the example.
Positive values enable value-driven rules#
In the value-driven target, stop, and daily-limit controls, a positive number enables the rule. Zero or blank leaves it disabled. Negative values are rejected.
Review the summary after editing. A visible field is not evidence that its rule is enabled.
Trailing stop#
Trailing Stop has its own enabled/disabled selector. When enabled, review Trailing Type and Trailing Distance together. Types in the shared form include amount, points, and percentage.
A trailing control changes with favorable movement under the strategy's implementation. It is not a guarantee that a live exit fills at the calculated threshold.
Strategy-level and basket-level limits#
Freedom Fighter exposes basket-level risk controls. Stock Basket has both basket-wide and per-stock controls. These scopes should not be treated as interchangeable.
Use the strategy guide to identify what a limit applies to, and inspect the monitor after it triggers.
When a limit is reached#
Review the session state, exit activity, and remaining position. A threshold being reached and an order being filled are separate events. If the platform reports stopping or pending exits, continue monitoring and check live exposure with the broker.
See orders and positions if the result remains unresolved.
