Where notifications appear#
Notifications are delivered through the SSAlgo Android app. The web app does not currently show a notification feed.
In the Android app, open Notifications from the bell on Home or from More. The feed has two tabs:
- Trades: entries, exits, and stop losses from your algorithms.
- Alerts: broker checks, market-feed warnings, and failures.
Use Unread to filter, and Mark all notifications as read to clear the badge. Tapping a notification opens the related screen where one exists.
Choose which alerts you receive#
Open Notification preferences from the Notifications screen.
| Setting | When it alerts |
|---|---|
| Push notifications | Master switch for all push alerts on your account |
| Trade entries | When a position is opened |
| Trade exits | When a position is closed |
| Stop-loss hits | When a stop loss triggers |
| Failures | When an algorithm or order fails |
| Stale market feed | Feed interruptions and recovery |
| Pre-market broker readiness | A daily broker check before 09:15 |
| Show trade details | Whether prices, quantities, and P&L appear in previews on the lock screen |
Billing reminders, such as a trial or pass ending soon, are also delivered as notifications.
On this phone#
Live P&L notification keeps a running P&L notification on this phone while your algorithms run. It is a per-phone setting.
If the app shows Push notifications are turned off, Android is blocking SSAlgo's notifications. Use the button shown to open Android's notification settings and allow them.
Do not rely on a notification alone#
A notification can arrive late or not at all, for example when the phone is offline, in battery saver, or notifications are blocked. Alerts that are too old are not pushed, to avoid a burst of stale messages.
A notification is a convenience, not confirmation of an execution. Check the algorithm's monitor, Orders & Positions, and your broker's order book before acting.
Privacy#
With Show trade details off, lock-screen previews omit prices, quantities, and P&L. Notifications never include passwords, OTPs, or broker tokens.
